Some of the house committee members of Hombré are enjoying a beer with the Vice-Chancellor on the balcony of his office. From the left are Zade Basson (recruiting), Erhardt Kloppers (SRCS), Izak Crous (deputy prim), Bennie Fourie (prim), John Greywenstein (culture), Dr. Theuns Eloff and Ernest Human (sport).

This breakfast with the Vice-Chancellor on the balcony of his office is becoming a tradition. The first breakfast was held last year.
Bennie Fourie, the prim (head student) of Hombré, says the idea is to keep the Vice-Chancellor involved in student life since his day as rector of the Potchefstroom Campus.
The fact that Hombré is situated directly opposite Dr. Eloff’s office naturally also helps to maintain good relationships as neighbours.
Some of the house committee members roasted a quick “boereworsie” and celebrated the occasion with a drink.
Eloff also received a certificate for "The Chancellor Beer" as token of his special relationship with Hombré.
