Open Day attracts record numbers
This year the Open Day of the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University was attended by a record number of people.
The large number of people necessitated the University to present three sessions during which the Rector addressed guests. The same pattern was followed with visits to the faculties.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Marketing and Communication, Mr. Theo Foutie, says twice as many applications as last year were received on Open Day at Academic Registration. To date, the University has also received twice as many applications as the previous year.
Feedback given to the NWU Puk from guest houses and hotels in the city was that they were fully booked with guests from across the country who slept over on Friday night.
