Research in Good Hands

The Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAF) has appointed Professor Oladejo Olowu, as part of the Peer Review Panel for Scholarly Journals in the Law and Related Legal fields category.  Prof Olowu is a Research Professor in the Faculty of Law at the NWU- Mafikeng Campus.  This is part of a broad project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) supported by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DoHET),  to implement the recommendations made in ASSAf’s Report on Strategic Approach to Research Publishing in South Africa, published in 2006.   His appointment was approved by the ASSAF Council on 26 August 2010.  By virtue of this appointment, Professor Olowu serves as the Convenor of the Panel on International & Comparative Law publications in South Africa.
