2013 Events

Friday 1 February

  • The annual colourful RAG firework show takes place at the RAG farm and starts at 20:50. Make sure that you are part of this show.

Saturday 2 February

  • The ever-popular RAG float parade takes place in town from 09:00 to 12:00 with students collecting money with "blikskud". The festive atmosphere and the colourful, innovative floats should definitely not be missed.  

 Monday 4 February

  • The NWU-Puk kicks off the Varsity Cup season at the Fanie du Toit sport grounds at 19:00 Monday when they play against the defending champion, Tukkies. This match promises to be spectacular with various on-field entertainments waiting for the supporters.

 Thursday 14 February

  •  Official 2013 opening of the NWU Potchefstroom Campus Art Gallery takes place. The opening takes place in the form of a staff art exhibition at the Botanical Garden at 17:30. Free entrance.
     
  • Prof Paul Schutte's textile exhibition called "BooMenSlik" is in the main gallery and opens at 19:00. Free entrance.
     
  • The NWU Potchefstroom Campus Botanical Garden is open every weekday from 08:00 and 16:00 and entrance is free. Please book in advance for groups of more than twenty persons. Contact 018 299 2753
