About us

The School of Human Sciences comprises the following:

• Department of English,

• Department of Setswana,

• Department of Communications,

• Department of History, Politics and International Relations as well as Tourism, Conservation and Sustainable Development, and

• Theology Programme.

These Departments and the programmes they administer and teach, address the question of aspects of our human nature/humanity, including: what is important about language (and the languages of Setswana and English), how do we communicate (interpersonally, interculturally, through the mass media, and in corporate environments), what can we say about the way human beings conduct their lives as 'political animals' (to quote Aristotle), as well as the burgeoning area of study in Tourism (which is becoming central to the future of our country).
