The aims of the School for Undergraduate Studies are:

• To prepare teachers for the foundation, intermediate, senior and FET phases of education in the Republic of South Africa and the Southern African Development Countries and beyond, by offering teacher education programmes.

• To offer teacher education programmes of a strategic nature in order to address specific learning needs and outcomes required at school level.

• To advance the knowledge in the discipline of education by conducting applied research in the internal and external environment.
