About Us

The School is located at the Mafikeng Campus in the Science building, with additional new facilities currently being put in place. For administrative purposes, the school is divided into five disciplines, namely Chemistry, Mathematical Sciences, Physics and Electronics, Computer Science and the Centre for Applied Radiation Science and Technology (CARST). The school has some 33 academic staff in total. In addition to the above, there is the International Institute of Symmetry Analysis and Mathematical Modeling (IISAMM) which is housed in the discipline of Mathematical Sciences. The school offers programmes leading to the following qualifications: BSc, BSc Hons, MSc and PhD. The main research thrust in the school is solar energy and radiation science.
