Welcome to the home page of the School of Economics at the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University. Here you can learn more about our qualifications, admission requirements and the staff. The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Economics, Risk Management and International Trade. At undergraduate level, you already have the opportunity to specialise:
- Economics and International Trade offers modules that are specialised in the international trade environment, for example trade relations, finance and payments, geography and communication.
- Economics and Risk Management includes modules focused on investment management, bank risk management and derivative instruments.
Our degrees have a strong academic foundation and a focus on the skills and competencies that students require for the world of work. The School also offers honours, master’s and PhD degrees in Economics, Risk Management and International Trade.
Quality and relevance are assured through our links with the private sector and universities abroad. The staff have a strong research orientation.
