University of Sydney Scholarships for International Students
The University of Sydney invites candidates who are eligible to undertake a postgraduate research degree or master’s by research programme at this University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS).
The objective of the USydIS is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to undertake research projects which will enhance the University’s research activities.
The USydIS is open to all research disciplines; however participation in the USydIS programme each semester is at the discretion of the Dean of each faculty.
International students wishing to pursue a research programme at the University.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be admitted as a student under a postgraduate research or master’s by research programme at the University of Sydney. Inquire with the scholarship provider for more information.
The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years with a possibility of one semester’s extension for PhD students.
Applicants who wish to be considered for the IPRS and USydIS awards for the first semester may indicate this by completing the relevant section of the postgraduate research application form.
Applicants should first apply for entry to a doctoral programme at the University of Sydney, and then submit a USYD-CSC Postgraduate Research Scholarship application.
To be considered for the USydIS for the first semester (March), applications for admission to a research degree MUST be received by the International Office by 31 July of the previous year.
To be considered for the USydIS for the second semester (JULY), applications for admission to a research degree MUST be received by the International Student Office by 15 December of the previous year.
