In the spotlight

Justice Bess Nkabinde

Constitutional Court Justice Bess Nkabinde, one of the NWU’s revered alumni, is retiring at the end of this year. Justice Bess was part of the first group of exceptional alumni who received the coveted Alumni Awards in 2013. The NWU is proud of this trailblazer who was also the first woman to be appointed as an acting deputy chief justice. She served for 12 years as judge of the Constitutional Court and made a valuable impact on the South African legal landscape.

The NWU wishes her happiness, success, good health and well-deserved rest as she enters her retirement.
