Tagged Message
- *****SPAM***** Subject
When the filter detects a possible spam message, it is clearly marked by adding *****SPAM***** in front of the original subject. This way you don't have to open the message to see if it has been tagged - you can easily identify it just by looking at the subject line in your inbox. This also makes it easy to write a rule in Groupwise to sort all *****SPAM***** into a seperate folder - less clutter in your inbox.
- Content preview
A brief summary (usually the first few lines of text) of the tagged message is displayed here - once again to save you the trouble of opening it.
- Content analysis details (13.30 points, 10 required)
The "spam score" and an explanation of why the filter tagged the message as spam. (The higher the score, the more likely the message is spam.) In this case the message ended up scoring 13.30 points, while the recipient has a personal threshold of 10. It also shows which of the spam-detection rules were triggered by the message, and the weight (or score) attached to the rules.
- Original message attached
The original message gets attached to the notification in unchanged form. The spamfilter will never alter the content of a message - this is the original, unaltered item as received by the filter.
