
Eduloan awards two students
Institutional Office - Two students from the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University (NWU) each received a R10 000 bursary from Eduloan.
The recipients, Mr Pierre van Niekerk and Mr Johannes Engelbrecht, are both honors students in Chartered Accountancy (CA).
Among those attending the handing - over ceremony were Eduloan’s CEO, Ms Totsie Mamela-Khambula and the NWU Executive Director: Finance and Facilities, Prof Johan Rost.
According to Mr Danie Hefer, Head: Financial Support Services on the Potchefstroom Campus, this is the first time that Eduloan have awarded bursaries to CA honours students. This time around the bursaries were specifically intended for students at the Potchefstroom Campus, but in future the applications of all academically deserving CA students at the NWU will be considered.
As a provider of study loans in South Africa, Eduloan is committed to making tertiary education both affordable and accessible to all aspiring students. The company has partnerships in place with 26 higher education institutes and with several education-related suppliers. Since 1996 Eduloan has financed over R2,2 billion in educational loans to over 530 000 tertiary students.
