NWU Mafikeng Campus a beehive of activity

MAFIKENG - The Mafikeng Campus of the North-West University recently hosted a career exhibition and an international conference titled “Population and Development in Africa: Research and Policy Dialogue for Africa”.

Grade 12 learners from 41 high schools from around Mafikeng, Lichtenburg and Setla-Kgobi attend the annual career exhibition under the banner of the Career Exhibition and Information Association (CEIA) at the SABC Exhibition Centre. More than 20 institutions, including universities and government departments, participated in the event.

The International Conference on Population and Development in Africa: Research and Policy Dialogue for Africa took place at the Tusk Mmabatho. Delegates from as far afield as North Africa and South America attended this conference.

In March the Animal Health Study Programme will be hosting two seminars presented by Prof. William J. Silvia from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, USA. Prof. Silvia has extensive publications and other experience in the field of animal health. He will present a seminar on “Breeding Problems in Dairy Cattle” and another one on “Agriculture in Kentucky”.
