The Career Centre is the first stop for students looking for advice on possible career opportunities, CV writing, interviewing techniques and other resources regarding their career. The NWU's interactive website will put students and companies in the job market in contact with each other. This will give students greater access to possible job opportunities in various industries.
The Career Centre will also assist employers in finding qualified individuals to meet their employment requirements.

The NWU Career Centre’s purpose is to increase your job hunting confidence and ability. Come to the Career Centre and browse through our magazines, files, reference books and the employers' information. View our scheduled career-related DVDs to enhance your job hunting skills. Establish a working relationship with our staff members – we are willing to help you!
Employment preparation: The Career Centre is the first stop for students looking for advice on possible career opportunities. Students will be assisted with career-related enquiries and with possible job opportunities in various organisations and companies. Visit the CareerZone on our website to register your CV and learn about various opportunities available for NWU students.
Career Centre Library: Call on the Career Centre and get access to information resources on the labour market, careers, occupations, employment opportunities, help with your job search, CV writing, preparing for an interview and other resources regarding employers and your employment future.
The NWU’s interactive website: The Career Centre's website will assist students and companies in the job market to make contact with each other. This will give students greater access to possible job opportunities in various industries. Students can search for jobs and apply online, place CV’s on the Internet, track job applications, get jobs via e-mail and use the online job hunting resources.
Workshops: In these workshops, students will be helped in small groups with job hunting skills, making an impact at the interview, compiling a professional CV and financial fitness.
Curriculum vitae critiques: Individual appointments are offered by the Career Centre to help students with their curriculum vitae. Contact the campus liaison officer for an appointment.
Career fairs and events: The Career Centre strives to facilitate connections between students and employers. Attend the career fairs, employer presentations, promotions and other information sessions to meet your new employer.
Interviews: Interview facilities will be available where employers can conduct interviews with students on campus.
