BEd Committee

About us

The Bachelor of Education (BEd committee) is committed to serve students of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, in North West University (Vaal Triangle Campus); by functioning as a link between the management of the Faculty, Campus Student Representative Council (CSRC), lectures and the students.

We believe in striving for excellence and innovativeness throughout the acquiring of our degree as teachers need to be sharp thinkers who are set to bring ground-breaking ideas to the minds of our future leaders (learners). Furthermore, the committee is also established to create a fun filled academic experience for the teacher trainees as they work towards acquiring their degree over four years.
 

Welcoming message  

A warm welcome to everyone, that is part and those that intend to be part of the faculty of Educational science. It is with great honour and delight to announce that our University is one of the best in producing the most paramount pedagogues’ in South Africa.  Therefore we as the BEd committee would like to assist our faculty in keeping up the high standards that previous students with the assistance of our lecturers have engrossed. 
 

Mission and visions

Our vision as the BEd committee is to create a united society within the BEd faculty: the students and the educational faculty staff and every other person that is involved in this life transforming faculty. Indeed Education is unique, and  we are being engraved with LOVE for working with people of various characteristics:

• Bed committee is to serve as an inter link between every participant of the Bachelor of Education faculty.

• Bed committee is there to serve as an information center or tool for the Bed students.

• Bed committee is here also to create a vibe of interaction and networking within the profession itself.

• To ensure that teacher trainees are exposed to a life experience that will build character towards them being recognised.

   

Services

The BEd committee is there to create social networking sessions by hosting events that will allow teacher trainees to learn from alumni and from their peers who have accomplished great achievements in the profession. The BEd committee is to host workshops that will boost the teacher trainees in their teaching skills and techniques. We intend to use peer education in grooming teacher trainees to be ambassadors of change.
