Partners in transport

The Department of Transport Economics and Logistics Management on the Mafikeng Campus of the North-West University (NWU) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Transport Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA).

According to Ms Karen Visser from the Department, the partnership between the two parties included the creation of a platform for networking between stakeholders and students for employment and placement opportunities. She added that at least 20 students had already been placed at different institutions. “We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with them.”

When asked her opinion regarding the partnership, final-year student Tebogo Kepilwe, said: “We are extremely excited as it not only offers the prospect of job opportunities, but it serves as a motivation for students to double their efforts.”
