About us

The School of Education Sciences aims to utilise its expertise to contribute towards the development of human resources that meet the needs and challenges of education in South Africa. The School is committed to training that provides high-quality education practitioners, researchers, curriculum developers, educational managers, and administrators and counsellors.

The School has many working agreements with local education districts and the Department of Education, for example:

  • In-service training of teachers

  • Assessment of and for learning

  • Short courses for pre-school teachers

  • Training of Advanced Certificate in Education (ACE) students for the Gauteng Department of Education.
