Services offered by the International Office on Mafikeng campus

• Emergency contact point for parents and families trying to reach their students;

• Provides information about accommodation;

• Provides information and assisting with application for health insurance and visa issues;

• Assistance with problems regarding study permits (applications, renewals and extensions);

• Keep database of all international students to meet requirements of the Department of Home Affairs;

• Provides semester report on the study progress of all international students as required by the Department of Home Affairs;

• Provides guidance and advice on local well-being to international students;

• Advise on travel in South Africa;

• Provides support in case of serious illness / accidents or death. Liaise with next of kin where necessary; and

• Give an update on upcoming events, changes to registration procedures and news of interest to international students through various campus media.
