Governance Structures: Council
Composition & Membership
The Council is constituted as follows
• Four members appointed by the Minister of Higher Education and Training
• Four members elected by the NWU Convocation
• Four members representing donors
• Four community representatives
• Four members elected by the NWU Senate
• Two members of executive management (the Vice-Chancellor and the Vice-Principal)
• Two campus presidents of the Student Representative Council (SRC)
• Two academic staff members not on the Senate
• Two members of the NWU support or administrative staff
• Two members with specific special expertise
