NWU and Beijing University will cooperate

Extensive future cooperation between the North-West University (NWU) and the Beijing Foreign Studies University is considered following the Potchefstroom Business School’s recent seminar on how to do business in China.

Topical issues surrounding the robust Chinese economic growth came under discussion at the seminar, which was also attended by three delegates from Beijing. The historical and cultural background, challenges, as well as the benefits of Chinese economic growth for South African entrepreneurs were just some of the topics highlighted by Prof Hardy Niu, Dr Jason Yu and Sonya Yang.

The China Business & Culture Programme was also introduced during the seminar.

MBA students from the PBS participated in this programme during their recent visit to China.

During the week-long visit to Beijing the tour group’s schedule consisted of a mixture of academic lectures, company visits and sightseeing in and around the city.
