Academia is the backpack every student carries on the journey towards obtaining a degree. Unfortunately no one can discard the backpack; it is every student’s duty to fill this backpack with knowledge and carry it all the way to the final destination. However, the Academic Council embarks on this journey with every student to ensure a carefree journey of discovery!

The road to academic success comprises:

• A sound lecturer-student relationship with effective communication channels for effective complaint handling. Cooperation between all academic systems and support services at the PUK to take maximum advantage of opportunities offered.

• Promoting academic student associations in faculties to achieve cooperation within a faculty.

• Enhancing motivation by giving credit to students within the various faculties. Recognition of top achievers, as well as students who show good progress. Recognition of lecturers to encourage quality teaching.

The Academic Council will therefore try to lighten the weight of the academic backpack as far as possible to ensure that the overall experience of being a student will be unforgettably breath-taking!
