The department of Biological Sciences is diverse, dedicated to teaching, research and community development. The fields encompass Medical Virology, Bioethics, Plant Biotechnology, Ecology, Molecular and Microbial Biotechnology.
The postgraduate programme focuses on producing researchers in Biological Sciences specializing in Microbiology, Ecology, Virology, Molecular Biology and Plant and Microbial Biotechnology with projects aimed at solving life problems currently being faced by local communities and the nation at large with relevance to international community.
