Student news is big
Long gone are the days that students had to rely on the grapevine for information about events and happenings on the campus. The Vaal Triangle Campus (NWU Vaal Triangle) recently launched its first-ever electronic student magazine, Student 24/7. What makes this magazine so unique is that it is compiled with students in mind, in fact – the editorial team is made up solely of students. Over the past years there have been several attempts made to start a student magazine, without anylong-term success. We are, however, bursting with excitement about the future prospects of Student 24/7 and the important role it is going to fulfil in terms of communication and the establishment of a true NWU Vaal student vibe!
Why an electronic magazine The answer is simple – we are doing our bit to safe the environment by reducing paper consumption. Since our Campus is situated within a proclaimed nature reserve each member of the Campus community has a responsibility towards protecting our environment.
The magazine came into being after months of careful planning and development The editorial team – all bona fide students represent both the Faculties on Campus and apart from their healthy appetite for language and communication; they represent the heartbeat of this publication. The publication is done under the auspices of the Corporate Communication Department.

The editorial team of Student 24/7.
