Golf days help students

The Mafikeng Campus of North-West University recently hosted its third annual golf day at Leopard Park Golf Club to raise funds for its Meal-a-Cay campaign.

Business men, senior staff members of the University and other participants competed in a Better Ball Stableford competition in support of the campaign, which is aimed at enabling needy students to afford a basic meal a day.

A similar event in aid of destitute students of the Department of Transport Economics and Logistics Management will be held on 12 May 2012 at Leopard Park.

  • For more information about the next golf day, please contact Mrs Karen Visser on tel. 018 389 2205 or 389 2002.

F.l.t.r.: Vice-Chancellor of North-West University, Dr Theuns Eloff, Mr Frik du Preez, Prof Melvin Mbao, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Mafikeng Campus, and Mr Leon Bevin of Leopard Park Gholf Club participated in the golf day held by the Mafikeng Campus on 13 April 2012.
