International seminar on environmental management presented
An international seminar by the School of Curriculum-based Studies of the North-West University’s Potchefstroom Campus was recently held.
Interested parties discussed issues that are essential for the successful integration of environmental management systems and environmental learning in schools and the broader community.

The event was held at the Elgro River Lodge and educators from various institutions attended it. Representatives from Unisa, the University of Johannesburg, the University of Antwerp, Vrjie Universiteit in Brussels, the University of Namibia and the Department of Education were present. Educational specialists from the Milieuzorg op Skool-eenheid from Flanders, teachers from Mozambique and staff and students of the North-West University interested in the improvement of the concept of sustainable development in schools also attended the seminar.
Valuable partnerships and alliances were formed between the members of the environmental education community.
