New corporate jacket for Rectorate

The Vaal Triangle Campus (NWU Vaal) Rectorate has undergone a corporate transformation and now not only reflects the unique identity of the campus but also the standing of the NWU Vaal Triangle within the North-West University.

The revamp of the Rectorate (which includes the Executive Boardroom and the offices of the Campus Rector and the Vice-Rector) was necessitated by the final phase of the roll-out of the University’s brand strategy.

In accordance with the brand strategy of the University, the Vaal Triangle Campus is known as the “green” campus and one of the differentiating elements is without a doubt the unique environmental setting in which the campus function. This attribute together with the demographic setting of the campus within the industrial heartland of the country formed the artistic background for the project.

The project team, consisting of the Corporate Communication Department as well as the well-known interior designer – Norean Neumann, took to the challenge and transformed the Rectorate into a corporate space celebrating the unique attributes of the campus. Apart from a dash of paint and the application of a pictorial history of the University (in the form of printed wallpaper) canvasses portraying photographic images of the campus were also added.
